NAME: Aqua
CANON: Kingdom Hearts
CANON POINT: Kingdom Hearts 3 ending
AGE: 18 physically, 28 chronologically, unknown age between the two mentally though it's closer to the lower number
BACKGROUND:https://www.khwiki.com/aqua
PERSONALITY: Aqua overall is a dedicated and disciplined young woman, having basically given up a good portion of her life (if not her entire life) to her training for her goal of becoming a Keyblade Master. Not only did this dedication allow her to become one of the youngest Keyblade Masters in history, but it also allowed her to achieve a mastery over magic in general that her fellow students weren't able to reach. Partly because of how long she had dedicated her life her training, she has a tendency to go along with what older authority figures to her think, trusting them to know what they're talking about and that they know what's best. This was true even when she was told things about her friend Terra that she didn't want to believe at first. Despite her initial denial, after given time to think about it, she eventually went along with what she heard about him. Part of this was supported by information from a source that Aqua wouldn't have normally believed; but because of those doubts having already been planted in her mind by her Master's thoughts earlier, she actually did come to believe it.
Aqua has a hard time ignoring people who are clearly in need, especially if there's the slightest chance that she can help them out. This is true even if she doesn't know exactly what she can do to help at the time. In fact, it doesn't even really need to be a situation that's all that serious for Aqua to be willing to help people out. Helping out with a couple of children playing a game was something that she was willing to do, although in that case the nature of the game in question did also allow her to look around the world and gather information. At one point, she also offered her services to the leader of a ship to help destroy the Unversed that were plaguing them. This was something that she would've usually done anyway, at least as far as the ones that she came across, but she wasn't really supposed to actually interact with the people on the world and offer to do that.
One consequence of Aqua being in relative isolation for most of her life is that she's a bit awkward when dealing with people, even those that she's known for years. Aqua also has pretty much no idea how to deal with potential romantic and/or sexual interest in her, being reduced to a stammering blushing wreck when she was asked on a date by someone, despite the fact that the way she was asked on the date wasn't really in a way that signified serious romantic interest in her. She also has a bit of a hard time saying exactly what she means at times, which… has come back to bite her in the rear a couple of times, making both Terra and Ventus angry with her for thinking that she was better than both of them rather than the worry for Terra that she was really trying to express.
Aqua's protective instincts with her friends also sometimes lead her to taking some drastic decisions with a clear lack of self preservation. The biggest case of this that happened was during the end with her fight against Xehanort while he was possessing Terra, at the end when Terra's body had been sinking into the Realm of Darkness, Aqua charged after him and sacrificed her only means of potential escape for the chance that Terra would be safe. Despite the fact that he either had his heart destroyed by what he did, or was still possessed by Xehanort and was a danger to all the worlds. Whenever someone who Aqua cares about is in anger, protecting them pretty much overrides any other concerns in her mind.
POWERS/ABILITIES: As a wielder of a keyblade, Aqua has the ability to unlock and lock any type of lock that she wishes, and has the ability to summon her weapon to her hand or store it... somewhere not visible or even on the same physical realm. She's also able to summon the weapon back to her hand if she loses her grip on itexcept when the story arbitrarily decides that she can't unless it gets a significant distance away from her (like on another world away from her) or another keyblade wielder grabs hold of it. A Keyblade is also the only weapon that's capable of permanently destroying a Heartless, a creature of darkness that preys on people's hearts.
Keyblades also have more abilities, like the power to open pathways between worlds, lock and unlock hearts of both people and worlds, and become a vehicle known as a keyblade glider. As most of these abilities would either make it too easy for Aqua to leave, or be dangerous to the world itself, Aqua will not have access to them in game (regardless of the fact she wouldn't do anything involving locking/unlocking hearts to begin with).
The magic that Aqua has available to her is extremely varied, with several different types of magical elements available to her, everything from Fire, Ice, Thunder, Wind, Holy, Water, and Healing spells are all within her arsenal. In addition to this, she can also cast spells that can temporary blind, put enemies to sleep, confuse them, bind them in place, slow them down or even temporarily stop time for them. She even has the ability to create magical mines that explode whenever an enemy walks into them, or sometimes even move and seek out said enemies. Using various forms of magic in quick succession can also give her various types of boosts to further attacks of those type of attacks, which is referred to as 'Styles' in the game proper. She also has the ability called Barrier, which creates a magical barrier around her at a moments notice that can block most attacks. One of her most powerful magical spells is called Mega Flare, which… is basically a spell that causes a massive explosion that can wipe out several enemies at once.
INVENTORY: 1 Keyblade (Stormfall)*, 1 Gummiphone, 2 Hi Potions (healing item), 2 Ethers (mana restoring item)
* The Keyblade that Aqua used during Kingdom Hearts 3 is no longer in use by her, now being used to mark a grave-site for Master Eraqus. However, with Kingdom Hearts 3 establishing how easy it is to just create a new one and how unlikely Aqua would give up a keyblade without a replacement, I'm going under the assumption that's she's already forged or acquired a replacement. For the sake of simplicity, I'm going with this keyblade being identical to the one she had in Birth By Sleep.
